Danny and Quincy | Engagement Photography

Quincy and Danny have been together since freshmen year of high school! This incredible couple have so much personality and love and it was so fun to work with them!

I asked them to tell me one thing that they love about each other and they had the sweetest answers!

She said:
"Danny is the kindest person I have ever met. He is genuine about everything he says or does and is the first to offer help to someone who looks like they need it. He stands up for his beliefs and morals even if nobody else does and is such a good influence on me."

He said:
"I love how big of a heart she has. She is the most genuine, caring person I know and has a passion for serving others."

landscape photography tips || tuesday tips

I have such a passion to shoot anything and everything with my camera. As many times as I have been to the city, I still love finding new and interesting ways to photograph it and improve my images.

A few things that I keep in mind when I go out shooting is to always have some kind of focus point in the shot. The eye needs something to focus on and it helps the photo be more interesting and creative.

Remember the setting in your camera. The light will be constantly changing when you are walking around the city and you need to remember to change your shutter speed, and ISO.

Look for contrast! Having high contrast in your photos will create an interesting image. So look for a bright sky and dark buildings, or lots of sun and shadow. If you are shooting in RAW, you will have more flexibility in post processing to add contrast and highlights.

Pike's Place Market | Seattle Washington

Before my husband took off to Pennsylvania, we went to Pikes Place. It is one of my very favorite places to take pictures. I love all of the flowers and all of the colors and it is especially beautiful in the Spring. The market always seems to be busy with people shopping and just looking at all of the interesting things for sale. If I lived closer to Pikes Place, I would always bring home fresh flowers and produce. Tyler is a huge fan of all the seafood... and I'll just take his word that it is amazing.

Brittney+Daniel | Rexburg Idaho Couples Photographer

Before I left Rexburg, I got the opportunity to meet up with this couple for a really fun, and rather quick session. This is a location in Rexburg that I have never shot at but have been wanting too for awhile. It was such a sunny and warm day and it matched this couples personality, perfectly.
I love being able to work with cute couples that have so much love for each other. It might just be my favorite thing to do! Thanks Brittney and Daniel!

Jaxton | Children's Photographer Blackfoot, Idaho

This little boy has been one of my absolute favorite to photograph. He is always full of smiles and giggles. To be honest, I am always a little bias when it comes to my sister-in-laws kids, I think they all are perfect little models. But you have to agree that his cheesy grin is to die for!

why I love lifestyle photography | tuesday tip

I love lifestyle photography because it is all about personality. My biggest goal, when I pick up my camera is to capture the connections, and all the little natural pieces of life. I find so much joy in the little things and the honest and simple moments together. These photos celebrate my baby and his life and all the simple greatness.

To me, it's about remembering what is here today and gone tomorrow.

Here are a few tips to help you capture those incredible honest moments in your life:
Capture what you and your kids love.
Remember the special routines that make up a big part of your daily life.
Focus on the details
And try to capture the emotion, no matter what emotion it is (happy, sad, upset, silly, etc.) Those photos will mean the most to you for years to come!
