You Deserve A Photo | Pocatello Children's Photographer
A little while back, I got this great opportunity to participate in a great program called You Deserve A Photo. People would submit their entries to win a mini photo session and I was so lucky to work with this adorable little boy. It was so important to his grandma to get current photos of her grandson, and I was so excited that I could help!

Ashlee & Stephen | Rexburg Engagement Photography
I was absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to photograph this beautiful couple! We even got a little lucky and had the sun some out from behind the clouds for a few minutes, you just never know what to expect with Rexburg weather. But I am so glad that they were so carefree and laughed the entire session! I just want to wish them the best and all the happiness!

my week \\ instagram
This past week was a crazy week! I literally lost track of time and Tyler's graduation was already a day away before I could catch my breath. I had so much fun hanging out and laughing all weekend with my family and I didn't want it to end! However, it is now another Monday, and I am anxious to get started on all the fun things! My Mother's Day mini photo shoot are completely booked, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I have so many fun things planned, I can hardly wait. Anyways... I love instagram and it is sometimes the easiest way to capture the fun moments of my little boy!

congrats! I couldn't be more proud
This Friday, my husband is graduating from BYU-Idaho. I am so excited for him, I can hardly stand it. We are finally done with Rexburg (I thought that I would never say those words) and will be starting dental school in August. I am so proud of all the hard work Tyler has done for our family. He truly is amazing at balancing his school work, family, church and everything else in between. So congratulations Tyler! I love you and I can't wait to celebrate with you and our family!

what to do with your instagram photos // tuesday tip
I love Instagram. Most of my photos of Patrick are all on Instagram. It is so much fun and it is so easy. Since so many memories are on Instagram, I made an Instagram scrapbook for my sister. All I did was print off her pictures and made a cute little chipboard book with paper and embellishments.

12 things happy people do differently / tuesday tip
I am always up way late, because I can't sleep. My husband says that I can't sleep because I am on Pinterest. But I tell him that I am only on Pinterest because I can't sleep. Anyways... I found this really cool article about what people do to find happiness. As I have started my business, I have been through a roller coaster of emotions. I have highs and I have lows and sometimes I drown myself in my lows. It is so easy to be critical and not give yourself enough credit. I have noticed that when I am not having as much success in my business, it is only because of ME!
1: Express Gratitude
2: Cultivate Optimism
3: Avoid Over-Thinking and Social Comparison
4: Practice Kindness
5: Nurture Social Relationships
6: Develop Strategies for Coping
7: Learn to Forgive
8: Increase Flow Experience
9: Savor Life's Joys
10: Commit To Your Goals
11: Practice Spirituality
12: Take Care of Your Body
The one that I am most guilty of doing, or not doing, is number three. I am constantly over-thinking everything, and comparing myself to other photographers and other business owners. I would compare my one year of experience to someone else's five years of experience and that would give me such self doubt but when I realize that the only person I should be comparing myself to was myself, I was able to grow in areas that I really wanted too.
Number seven was another one that I work hard to do. And it's not so much forgiving others, as it is learning to forgive myself. I have made many mistakes and when I let myself to forgive and forget, I can push on to the next thing without anything holding me back.

Happy Easter
I hope you had a great Easter! We colored eggs, hung out with family and ate a delicious Easter dinner (I didn't cook). Patrick got to participate in his first Easter egg hunt and of course he enjoyed all of the goodies he found.
I also really wanted to get some good family pictures. We have had them done in the winter, but I love all the spring colors! So I set up my tripod and it turned out that Patrick thought it was funny to watch me run from my camera to the blanket! So he was actually smiling...it was amazing!
