You Deserve A Photo | Pocatello Children's Photographer
A little while back, I got this great opportunity to participate in a great program called You Deserve A Photo. People would submit their entries to win a mini photo session and I was so lucky to work with this adorable little boy. It was so important to his grandma to get current photos of her grandson, and I was so excited that I could help!

A pep talk | A little video you have to watch
My day has been filled with laundry, dishes and entertaining a little boy who is stuck inside the house all day. It is not until that little boy is sleeping in his bed that I have time for work or anything else, like The Bachelor. Is it like this for you?
Last week, I posted about how I was feeling a little discouraged and was working hard to find motivation and inspiration (read post here). I have been working hard and I was starting to feel like I had nothing to show for it.
My husband sent me this youtube video (I swear, he is addicted to youtube) and thought it would be some good inspiration. I thought it would be another video about someone falling off something, but it was surprisingly amazing!
I don't know if you have seen this or not, but you have to watch it either way.

paradise island
I am finally getting to post my photos from our most recent trip to the Bahamas! I couldn't believe it myself, that we got to leave all our responsibilities (literally!) and the cold weather for the beautiful and incredibly warm waters of the Bahamas.
We left little Patrick with my parents and even though it was only for 4 days, I was heartbroken. Everytime I saw anyone that reminded me of Patrick, I was a wreck. I was constantly saying, "Patrick would love this", "Patrick would have had so much fun" or "I miss Patrick."
However, I still had such a great time. It was nice to have a mini vacation with just Tyler. We ate a ton of food, relaxed in hammocks under the trees and swam in the crystal clear ocean.

A Year Later
As of today, I have officially been in business for a year! There have been some really tough times, really good times and lots of learning experiences. It has been such a journey and I am proud of where my hard work has taken me. I started with absolutley no idea what I was doing and terrified of rejection but I am so glad that I did not let that hold me back.
Last year I started by writing down my goals, my dreams and aspirations. There have been times throughout this year where all I wanted to do was quit and give up. It has not been an easy road but my goals (and my husband) have been the motivation to keep going. Although, some of my dreams have changed, all I want is to be a better photographer then I was yesterday.
I have spent hours and so many late nights trying to be a better photographer and learning as much as I could. I love looking at the pictures I took when I first started, it shows how much I have improved. I love taking photos. I love my camera. It has become a part of me.
I am so lucky to be able to do what I love. I have created some awesome friendships that will last forever! With the help, support and encouragement of all my friends and family, I wouldnt be where I am. It has been the only thing that has helped me succeed.

today what I am thankful for
If I was to write all of the things I am thankful for, the list would be a mile long.
But today as I sat down to write this, I could only think about how grateful I am for my husband. It might be that our anniversary is on Tuesday.
We have been married for 3 crazy/fun/exciting years. They have been the very best years and no matter how hard times have gotten or will get, I know Tyler will always be right there for love and support.

around the house
hello, hello! I hope all of you are enjoying this very cold and white day. It felt like a snow day today, so we took the day off from chores and all other responsibilities to have a little fun inside. And since I was not expecting snow this early, little Patrick has no snow boots, so we kept playing outside to a minimum.
I thought I would share some shots of what my house looks like. I hate packing and I hate unpacking, but I love decorating a new place and making it feel like our home. And nothing is more important than home, right?
hope you enjoyed these little snapshots!
Have a great Friday!
