I have usually done holiday mini session but this year I wanted to do a special on my normal family sessions! Which is great for you, a full session at a mini session price! This was my very first mini session that I have done and I was a little nervous about it. But it went so well, I think I might make it an annual event! And a huge thank you to The Cocoa Bean Cupcake Cafe for letting me use there cute shop!

Finally! I am so excited to announce that I will be doing some way fun and super cute mini sessions for Valentines day. The super nice, Gary Rasmussen of The Cocoa Bean Cafe has agreed to let me have my sessions in his shop.

I am always looking for new and creative ways to become a better photographer. So I need your
help. Photographing new people helps me professionally and makes my job really
fun! Plus, you can get free photos! It's
a benefit for both of us!

If you are interested in being a model,
here are the requirements:

I am looking for models of all shapes and sizes.
Beauty is in everyone and I want to feature everyones unique look and style.

Yes! I am looking for children too but must be
4 years or older. Siblings may apply, but I will
only work with 2 children.

DIY Stamp Cards // Thank You Cards

It is a gloomy day, so we decided to stay around the house. I needed to catch up on some work and get some much needed Thank You cards out to people.

I love cute stationary. I have a whole drawer full. But since it is for my business, I wanted something to match and what better way then a DIY. I used pencil stamps to make my cute Thank You cards. So much better than store bought.

All you need are:

 -pencils

 -stamp pads in different colors

 -note cards and envelopes

And that's it! 

There is no way to mess this up, which is my favorite craft to do!

relocating to...Hawaii.

Hello, Everyone!

I am so excited to share with you all of the new and exciting things that will be happening. My little family will be moving to the beautiful island of Oahu! This will be our second time speding a whole summer in Hawaii, but it will be a totally different experience with a 1 year old running around.  

I have to be honest, I wasn't too excited at first. I just started my business and I didn't know what I was going to do. Does that mean that I have to start over? I certainly hope not! I am determined not to let this adventure stop me from what I want to do. I will miss all of the people that I have worked with and all of the people that have supported me over these past few months.

But, this is not goodbye!

I will be back when my husband starts school in the fall. You can never leave Rexburg for too long, at least that is what it seems like. I have thought of ways to share my experience in Hawaii with you and I'll tell you more about that later. So if you find yourself in Hawaii this summer, give me a call! I love to see a friendly face and what better place to have a photo session.   

These pictures are from when we first were there, two years ago. It was when my husband bought my camera for me. Who would have thought it would turn into all of this?

now announcing: spring & easter mini session

I am so excited/anxious for this Mini Session that I am planning! It will be a great way to start off the Spring season.  I will be holding sessions on Saturday, April 7th.  There will be a limited number of sessions that day.  This will allow for a longer session, time for children to relax and not be rushed, and allow you to have more variety of pictures. 

I love mini sessions because it is an inexpensive way to update your children's portraits and maybe even a few family shots. The Elephant of Surprise from Utah will be exclusively styling this mini session that will last up to 30 minutes.  Have your children come dressed in their Easter attire or favorite spring outfit.  For more inspiration check out my pinterest board.

This will be held locally in Rexburg and if weather doesn't permit, we will have the option to reschedule. Remember, I am only taking a limited number, so book your session quick!  As soon as you book your session, I will send you all the details (half of session fee must be paid in order to consider "booked").

This doesn't have to be just for children.  This can be great for teenagers, families, couples or just some fun pictures of you!

::weekend recap::

I am sorry that I have been a little behind on posting my recent photos.  I try to post something every Friday or Saturday but was unable to this weekend because my family was in town.  It was great to hang out with everyone.  It was filled with lots of food, laughter and good times.  I love that my parents are able to spend time with Patrick and my nephew, Grant.  They just love to hanging out with Grammie and Papa.

Since we are starting a new month, I have lots of fun things planned. Etsy Shop | Deux des Amis

I am so thrilled to tell you about these two wonderful ladies that own an etsy shop call "Deux des Amis".  I had the pleasure of meeting both Tiana and Kaeli and they are super fun and their products are super cute! 
They sell "a little bit of everything" but the hats for newborns and babies are the greatest.  

I will be using some of Deux des Amis products in some of my upcoming sessions.

::Ringing in the New Year::

first month

It hasn't quite been a month since I have started my photography business, but it has been going better then expected.  I have had great opporunities where I have learned so much.  I am grateful for all the wonderful families that have been willing to help me grow and improve.

I love photography. 

I have become obsessed.  

There is rarely a time that I do not have my camera.   

I am excited for January.  It's a new year and I am anxious for all that I have planned.  

I rely on my friends and family and I am asking for all the support and help I can get.  Please, follow my blog and tell everyone you know.  I would like to do a giveaway as soon as I reach 50 followers.
